"Recent Visit"

I booked this accommodation for my elderly parents in November. My parents were really delighted with the place. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the staff incredibly helpful. The owner Pepe was really attentive to them and very kind. As someone who has worked in hospitality for years its lovely to hear that people are treated so well especially older people. I would thoroughly recommend Clocktower Lodge and will definitely revisit. An excellent place to stay.

Quiet and clean

Nice location once I discovered the entrance was not in the old vicarage and met by friendly dad of owners. Lovely room and a breakfast on the go provided, not normally what I would eat but Morrison's opposite and Wetherspoons not far so plenty of food choices available

Great location

Good location, great base if your visiting locally. Right next to the high street. Good sized room and very comfy beds. Biscuits and snacks provided on arrival. Wetherspoons down the road for a cheap breakfast!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to my Company . I have stayed a second time (wish it could be more) and have never been disappointed, the room is clean and very well appointed, comfortable bed and very quiet. The staff are fantastic nothing is too much trouble, you only have to ask and if it's possible they deliver. I have also got to know some members of the team, they have been there since I have been staying, another good sign of a happy working environment and good management They show a great interest in what your doing during your stay and look after you so well. It is a relatively small hotel which I like, I find the large hotels very impersonal. I will continue to use The Clocktower Lodge as long as I am able I will be recommend this hotel.

A Best Kept Secret

This property is in the Centre Of Hoddesdon but was unknown to our friends whom we were visiting who had lived in Hoddesdon for 30+ Years.
It is set back from the Main Street with off street parking and fee WiFi.
We stayed there for 3 nights and our room was excellent.
The Lodge is run by 2 Brothers John and Pepe La Rosa.
They are both excellent individuals both efficient, friendly and extremely charismatic.
The central location means you are able to get around the whole of Hoddesdon centre on foot. For further travel there is a taxi rank only 40 yards away.
If you need accommodation in Hoddesdon you cannot do better than stay at the Clock Tower Lodge.

Don't hesitate, book now!

My wife and I recently attended a function in Hoddesdon and were looking for somewhere to stay. I stumbled across The Clocktower on Tripadvisor so gave the place a call and spoke to Pepi the owner. He sounded like a nice guy, very down to earth and easy to talk to so booked up the deluxe room for the weekend. When we arrived Pepi was there himself to hand over the keys and show us our room. We weren't disappointed. Seriously, we've stayed in 4/5 Star hotels that haven't been as good! The room is spotlessly clean & tidy with nice modern decor, tv, kettle and importantly a comfortable bed. I'm not one for noises or disturbances at night so I'm also happy to report an extremely peaceful nights sleep.
So to sum up, if we happen to be in the area again there's only one place we'll be staying - The Clocktower. Great family run business offering high standards and a personal touch that's missing from the large chains. Oh, and as an added bonus there's a couple of cracking Italian restaurants within a few minutes walk that make for a wonderful evening out. You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful place, lovely staying

If you are looking for a good place to stay, nice, cheap, with parking, garden, extremely clean (and when I say this, I mean all is brand new), comfortable, close to shops and supermarkets with your room-bathroom completely independent of any other but with possibility of using a fully equipped kitchen, including washing machine and dryer ... this is definitely your place. I love it !! but what you don't expect and you'll find here is an excellent personal care, because clocktower is just a family together who works very hard every day to make you feel like the place that you miss most when you're away ... Home. Pepe is nice, Juan is nicer if this is possible and even the cleaner woman is lovely. They care about how you feel here and if all details are perfect for you. Feeling like family and this is so Important to me! Thanks guys, i cant wait to stay there again!

 5 Star

Conveniently located as it is right in the town centre and close to shops. Very comfortable environment, clean and friendly atmosphere. It has a very modern feel. I like the fact that you have the option to include the use of kitchen so you don’t need to eat out every day. You can also wash and dry your clothes as there is a washing machine and dryer available. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.
